About
Born and raised in Australia, David has broad skills as a classical pianist/conductor, with 20+ years experience in opera, song and performance coaching. He has worked internationally in the UK, Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia and New Zealand as both performer, vocal coach, chorus master and artistic administrator.
Alongside his professional work, David is an accomplished Great Highland Bagpiper, holding the roles of Pipe Sergeant and Pipe Major in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. He is currently the Pipe Major of the City of Sheffield Pipe Band.
David is the founder of DAB ||: Music – providing studio teaching, music services – alongside performance coaching, training and development opportunities. David is committed to working alongside artists and creatives who promote informed learning, dynamic programming/curation and who can effectively communicate with and empower their audience.
He is a Winston Churchill Fellow (CF) and member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (MISM).
